There are various proposed alternative sources of electricity that can be employed in Reflection Bay. One of them is substituting the present diesel generator with a new and more effective one. The issue with this generator is that it will provide equal production capacity with the previous one, and the price of power will marginally drop. Even future necessities will be on the community. This will be of less help to the community as they will have just postponed their current problem. The other alternative is the employment of Remote Community Electrification Program (RCEP)) BC hydro will fully install and take care of future advancements, and it has a fixed price of $0.20 per kWh. Despite all these, Reflection Bay shouldn’t take on this proposal since the program utilizes diesel generators to generate electricity, accompanied by environmental pollution due to the emission of gasses (Giwa et al., 2019).
