I am currently completing a PG Diploma in Music Education and a B.Sc in various modules from Italian to Mathematics with the Open University. I hope to complete the Diploma in 2015 and the B.Sc in 2017.

I also teach a range of subjects up to degree level and have supervised students at Cambridge University, presented research papers at academic conferences and have a few publications to my name. I have worked as a research assistant in Demographic History and Public Health at Cambridge University and as a writer and analyst for a professional research group that was charged with producing reports on aspects of social policy and public health. This education and experience has given me an understanding of a wide range of different subject areas.

My experience as a trial lawyer equipped me with the skills to take on a wide range of challenging legal assignments: ones that range from assisting practising lawyers on specific evidentiary or tactical issues, to developing useful legal continuing educational materials for firms. I am fortunate that my consultancy attracts interesting and engaging projects, of which my ongoing Academic Knowledge (AK) work is a key element. AK offer fine services, ones ably supported by committed colleagues who understand that every project and every client has unique dimensions. I have always felt that I am part of an effective, hard-working team in my AK work, and not just an anonymous cog known only by my researcher number. It is a dynamic where I am inspired to do a little extra, or offer a little more, because that is the ethic that AK encourages in every project I have been offered over the past 8 excellent years, and hundreds of effective submissions made that have contributed to our clients’ academic success.

I enjoy investigating new topics, as well as updating information on those with which I am already familiar. I am a lecturer and tutor in a UK university so I have a very good understanding of what current students need to achieve to gain qualifications. Many students don’t understand what they need to do to answer a question; through working for Academic Knowledge, I am able to provide exemplars for students to read as a guide to how to approach essay questions or research topics. I have also studied education, particularly online education, in great depth and thus have a good understanding of how modern technology can help the modern student engage with their subject matter.

My technical knowledge in accountancy, education, entrepreneurship, finance and management is enriched with working experience. I have been operating as a Chartered Public Accountant for the past 14 years. My working experience pertinent to accountancy and finance is in the following areas: auditor with KPMG, financial controller in a group of companies and presently operating as a financial consultant on a freelance basis. My area of specialisation is the financial analysis of companies, where I provide recommendations to investors on the most viable organisation in which to invest.

I can write fluently and to a consistently high standard in an array of business and management disciplines. These include logistics and supply chain, project management, information systems, operations management, HR and entrepreneurship.I have worked on several high-profile multi-million pound supply chain and IT projects, and I am able to combine practical and pragmatic experience with academic rigour to produce work of the best possible standard.
