Undergraduate students
If you’re studying your first degree then it’s most likely an undergraduate qualification, sometimes exceptions are made if you’re in work in a senior management level position where you’re allowed to proceed straight to your master’s qualification. Your undergraduate degree is often referred to as a bachelor’s degree but most commonly is simply referred to as your degree or undergraduate degree.
The available grades for undergraduate students are:
Undergraduate 2:2 (Grade C, 50-59% at most universities) – This is considered by the majority as the lowest pass grade for a degree qualification and is the lowest standard of degree work we offer. We advise you order this grade if you’re either looking to save money or if you’re studying a preparatory year before your degree commences. If you’re an international student studying at a preparation college such as Kaplan or Into then we recommend you order at this grade during your first level of study.
Undergraduate 2:1 (Grade B, 60-69% at most universities) – A 2:1 qualification is considered as the grade to aim at if you wish to have the best employment opportunities. Some employers filter out applicants with qualifications below a 2:1 level as a prerequisite especially in situations where they are receiving a lot of CVs. We advise this level for the vast majority of our customers who are currently working at either a 2:2 or 2:1 level, we also suggest this level of order to all new customers.
Undergraduate 1st (Grade A, 70%+ at most universities) – If you’re looking for a 1st class degree then you already know that you want to stand out from the crowd. Having the highest level of qualification shows that you’ve invested every possible moment into your studies, with this you’re rewarded with higher average income over your lifetime. We advise this level of order for students with a strong academic background; the majority of our customers prefer to order at 2:1 level for significant savings regardless of their previous results.
Masters / postgraduate students
A master’s qualification is a postgraduate qualification completed after a bachelor’s degree. It is often referred to as either a MA (Master of Arts) or MSc (Master of Science). There are also other variations that are commonly used for business administration (MBA), law (LLM), engineering (MEng) as well as a variety of other niches.
Some of these courses are integrated directly with your undergraduate course so if you’re studying a 4 year degree such as a MEng, MMath, MPhys, MPsych, MSci, MChem, MBiol, MGeol etc we only expect you to order at a Masters level during your 4th year of study and undergraduate level during the first three years.
The available grades for Masters students are:
Pass (Grade C, 50-59% at most universities) – This is the pass level at Masters and requires a comparable amount of effort to complete as an undergraduate 2:1 qualification. We advise that most clients order at either Masters Pass or Masters Merit depending on your budget.
Merit (Grade B, 60-69% at most universities) – A Masters Merit grade is challenging to achieve and this is often noticed by employers who filter candidates based upon the grade they received during their studies. Whilst being a little bit more expensive than ordering at a Masters Pass it is definitely worth it if inside your budget to ensure your CV stands out.
Distinction (Grade A, 70%+ at most universities) – The highest level of Masters qualification and extremely challenging to achieve is the Masters Distinction. We rarely recommend clients to order at a Masters Distinction level due to the higher costs associated with the large amount of research required in completion of the work. The only clients who should order at this grade are those who are currently studying at this level and attaining distinction grades on a regular basis.
